About Us
Man & Van Ipswich provides local man and van, small moves, single-item transport and storage services in Ipswich, Suffolk and surrounding areas.
By booking our services, you agree to the terms below.
Services We Provide
We specialise in:
- Small moves
- Single-item transport
- Furniture collections & deliveries
- Student moves
- Care home moves
- Door-to-door storage
- Local and long-distance transport
Please note we do not currently provide:
- Full moving day removals
- Builders waste clearances
- Garden waste clearances
- Piano moves
- Hot tub moves
- Motorcycle transport
- Shed or summer house moves
Bookings & Deposits
A 25% deposit secures your booking, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Bookings are confirmed once the deposit is received.
The balance is payable on job completion, unless agreed otherwise.
Cancellations
Deposits are non-refundable if a booking is cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled booking date/time.
Where sufficient notice is provided, we may offer to transfer the deposit to another booking date at our discretion and subject to availability.
Quotes & Additional Charges
Quotes are based on the information provided at the time of booking, including:
- Item descriptions
- Photos
- Property access
- Stairs/lifts
- Parking arrangements
- Loading distances
If the actual job differs significantly from the original description, additional charges may apply.
Parking charges, tolls, congestion charges or ferry fees may also be added where applicable.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for ensuring:
- Accurate information is provided before booking.
- Suitable parking/access is available.
- Items are packed appropriately unless packing assistance has been agreed upon.
- Fragile or high-value items are disclosed beforehand.
- Someone is present at collection and delivery locations unless otherwise agreed.
Delays
While we always aim to arrive on time, delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures or previous jobs may occasionally occur.
Estimated arrival times are given in good faith but cannot be guaranteed.
Liability
We handle all items with care and use protective equipment, including blankets, straps and moving equipment as standard.
However, we cannot accept responsibility for:
- Pre-existing damage
- Damage caused by poor or unsuitable packing
- Mechanical/electrical faults
- Flat-pack furniture is moved while assembled.
- Items not disclosed as fragile or high-value.
- Delays outside our reasonable control
Our liability for loss or damage to your property is limited to the amount and coverage specified in our current insurance policy. You may request details of our policy at any time. We do not cover items where liability is excluded under these terms.
Storage
Stored goods remain the property of the customer at all times.
Storage charges must be kept up to date throughout the storage period.
We reserve the right to withhold the release of stored goods until outstanding balances have been paid.
Right To Refuse Work
We reserve the right to refuse or stop work where conditions are unsafe, abusive, illegal, or where items fall outside the services we offer.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
